Sexism is an issue that with the passing of the ages has been taking more and more, more relevance, especially considering that with the opening to education and with the expansion of this, it has been getting to put gender equality in the palestra to delve a little more on the subject, I would like to mention one of my favorite characters, which unfortunately is sexist.

One of the series that has had a great acceptance of the public just came out, is Rick and Morty, a series, which like futurama, or the Simpsons, has a sarcastic humor and a little black that speaks and questions a bit many of the relevant issues for society, all from a humorous look that removes, that may sound heavy.

Rick and Morty is a series that I met on entering college, in conjunction with access to netflix, the series is about an alcoholic grandfather who is a genius and a little lonely. Who together with his grandson travels the world discovering and causing new problems.

For me, Rick is a sexist character for various reasons, throughout the series despite having a granddaughter and grandchild, always prefers the grandson (Morty), although clearly the granddaughter, has more intellectual abilities and physical to cope with the missions he performs.

In addition to this, another great proof of his sexism, is that during the series is mentioned the failed marriage of his daughter with an idiot (from the look of Rick), because for him, marrying someone intellectually inferior is a test of mediocrity, implying that having an intelligent man next to you, is something fruitful to develop you in life.
